Cupola Views was designed in collaboration with Sarah Ruiz, a talented quilt pattern designer and NASA engineer. Sarah was the perfect person to work with on this quilt pattern as she was also a flight controller for my 2008 space shuttle mission, and a member of the operations safety team during my 2013 space station expedition. This quilt represents the dual passions that we both feel about space and working with fabrics.
